[MUSIC PLAYING] If you want to go somewhere where you feel like you're in a family, in a community, and supported, and trusted. If you want to be challenged, come to LCSC. So the Movement and Sport Sciences Division has four degrees. One in Kinesiology. That is the art and science of body movement. And then we have three co-curricular degrees which we share with three other instructional divisions on campus. The first is Sport Administration, which we share with the Business Division. Sport Media Studies, which we share with Communications and Humanities. And the fourth degree is Exercise Science, which we share with Natural Sciences and Mathematics. It's not just a Science Degree. It's not just a, you know, Administration or a Liberal Arts Degree. It's overall a degree that you have to really learn and think and apply yourself to it to get the most out of it. We work with them to help them find their passion, and then the right path to help them accomplish their goals. Here at LC, since it's a small school, there's a lot of opportunities, not just to learn in a classroom, but to learn in environments with the athletic department and other internships. So I think it's been a really great experience here. Education isn't 'One Size Fits All', and we recognize that here. And we've created many opportunities for students to pursue their education in a manner that works for them. Students who choose to come here are going to get an excellent education, because the faculty are focused on their success. They're invested in what their goals are, what their dreams are. And we approach each student as an individual. The knowledge of the professors, I think is very high, for a school like this. And so it provides a really quality education because they can share their experiences and share their knowledge. The pathways that students choose, they choose because they're passionate about them. And they have the opportunity to work with faculty who are also passionate about the same pathways. All the professors are totally rooting for you. And like, want you to succeed. And they're always so willing to write reference letters and help you with anything if you need help. We recognize that learning about movement means that movement is incorporated as part of the learning experience. And so we have access to a dance studio, which is where we're at today. We have access to teaching gymnasiums. We have a human performance laboratory, which has many opportunities for students to learn and explore how to utilize equipment that they'll find in their future professions. Well, my favorite thing about Movement and Sport Sciences is that you always get to wear athletic clothes, because more likely than not, you're going to be doing something where you have to move. So you're always comfortable. So many of our classes have practicum experiences embedded in them. They work as personal trainers with students, faculty, and staff who wish to make healthy behavior changes. So they get an opportunity to work with clients before they actually go out into the workforce. We got to actually work with a client in my Exercise Prescription Class for six weeks, and we worked on what their goals were, and then we worked with them for six weeks in the gym. And then, at the end, we measured if they improved. And it was really cool because every single client improved. We found a way here to create a space where all students have an opportunity to learn and be successful. You know, you feel cared for here. So, for me, that's important. Our students are wonderfully prepared here to be successful in the next phase of life. [MUSIC PLAYING]
