Nursing & Health Sciences

[MUSIC PLAYING] Yeah, everyone's gonna get sick, and we need great nurses. And there's a big difference between a good nurse, and a great nurse. And I think that's what LC pushes you to do, is become that great nurse. Students spend a fair amount of time in here practicing their foundational skills, learning how to do all of the basic tasks of a nurse. The faculty is phenomenal here. Every one of them is very passionate about what they're teaching. We have super passionate instructors. I'm super passionate about the profession. They have a lot of knowledge. And there's so many years of experience. And I've been in it thirty-one years. Ultimately, going home knowing that you made a difference in someone else's life is really, really gratifying. We have a very significant simulation lab where students spend a lot of time working with simulated mannequins that breathe and talk and sweat. We have three practice stations set up, so students can practice all the time. There's not a live X-Ray tube inside, so they can make exposures as many times as they want. They can practice on those mannequins without the fear of actually harming them. Nursing students are running simulations, and it's the part where they'd normally call for an X-Ray. They actually call down to our lab, our students go, grab a portable, drive it down the hall, and they get to practice everything as real as can be without it being a real patient. The training that we get here, with the simulation lab, it may be a mannequin, but we're also under a lot of pressure. And when the vital signs start to decline, we have to figure out what to do. I spent nine months in Afghanistan. I saw a lot of casualties go through our outpost. And, you know, some casualties I treated in the field. The training that we get here, where you're under pressure and you have to remember all the things that you learned in class, that really helps. A student comes into our program literally knowing nothing about X-rays. And within two years, they go out of here being top radiographers. We're so well known for our nursing program. We have a great reputation. If you think about what you're getting for your money, this is, hands down, the clear choice. [MUSIC PLAYING]
